Grand Café Gezellig

Grand Café Gezellig is your Dutch haven (if ever you needed one) in the heart of Malaga’s Soho district.

It’s described as “a place where Dutch cuisine and Dutch ‘Gezelligheid’ merge seamlessly”.

But what is that exactly?

According to owners Naomi Uijlenhoed and Jackie Stor, “Gezellig” is that warm, cozy feeling when you’re basking in the merriment of having shared a drink or two in fine company.

So, to that end, at Grand Café Gezellig, you can savour all things typically Dutch, partake in over 20 different board games, and immerse yourself in the excitement of live sport, including Eredivisie football and Formula 1.

Dutch culinary delights

Designed to evoke the old Amsterdam-style “brown bars”, with rich wood, warm, inviting colours, and nostalgic décor, Grand Café Gezellig aspires to create the ambience of a cozy living room where the real star is the lively company.

Here, you can enjoy Dutch culinary delights, whether you order one of the many hot or cold sandwiches, soups, French fries (with mandatory Dutch-style mayonnaise), nibbles (including the famous bitterballen or frikandel), or the signature chicken satay.

Smakelijk!
