Fuengirola’s Feria Internacional de los Países
Fuengirola‘s reputation has soared in recent years, attracting individuals from all over the world to set up their new home from home.
Renowned for its unique blend of cultures, warm welcome and enviable lifestyle, the town shines as a beacon of diversity along the Costa del Sol.
An annual highlight is the Feria Internacional de los Países, formerly known as the Feria de los Pueblos, where each participating nation sets up its own caseta (or dedicated bar) to showcase its culinary delights, music and customs on Fuengirola’s fairground (Recinto Ferial).
With events running daily from early afternoon until the early hours of the morning, this fair offers visitors a vibrant immersion in global cultures, some of which may be very familiar (others less so!).

What makes this fair special for the Costa del Sol?
The Feria Internacional de los Países ranks among Malaga province’s major annual events. It holds particular significance for the region’s thriving international community.
The atmosphere buzzes with energy and goodwill. It’s where multiculturalism isn’t just tolerated but enthusiastically celebrated with colourful events that bring foreign communities’ homelands to life.
Some of the nationalities might put on processions featuring traditional national dress, performances of folk music and dance, while others focus on serving authentic dishes and beverages from their homeland.
This is a genuine celebration of diversity as each nation takes pride in showcasing its identity.
What can you experience at the Feria Internacional de los Países?
Each caseta offers something different. British visitors might find fish and chips or afternoon tea; Scandinavian stalls could serve herring and aquavit; while Latin American pavilions often feature live salsa bands.
The variety is staggering. Depending on the year and who’s participating, you can sample Moroccan tagines, German bratwurst, Indian curries and Argentinian steaks… all on the same evening.
Many nations organise special themed days. These might include cooking demonstrations, craft workshops or children’s activities. The official Fuengirola tourism website typically publishes the full programme closer to the event.
Live entertainment forms a central part of the experience. Expect everything from flamenco (traditional Andalusian music and dance) to African drumming, from Irish folk sessions to Caribbean steel bands.
2026 Feria de los Pueblos
This almost week-long extravaganza, depending on when the International Labour Day public holiday falls, starts either at the end of April or the start of May,
The 2026 Feria Internacional de los Países in Fuengirola runs from Wednesday 29 April to Sunday 3 May.
The itinerary and the participating countries can be seen here.

How do you get to Fuengirola from Malaga city?
As the final stop on the Cercanías line from Malaga, Fuengirola is easily reached by train in approximately 50 minutes.
For fairgoers, Los Boliches station offers an alternative. This penultimate stop on the line sits equally close to the fairground. You can check timetables and buy tickets through Renfe, Spain’s national railway operator.
Driving takes less than 30 minutes outside peak times. The A-7 coastal motorway connects Malaga directly to Fuengirola, but be aware that parking near the fairground can be challenging during the event. Therefore, it would be better to use public transport or arrive early.
