Inside Malaga CF: the behind-the-scenes La Rosaleda stadium tour
Step into the hallowed halls of La Rosaleda, home to Malaga CF and one of Andalucía’s most atmospheric football stadiums.
This guided tour offers football fans and curious visitors alike the chance to explore more than 120 years of Malaga football history in the very place where the magic happens.
You’ll discover the most exclusive areas of the stadium, from the presidential box where VIPs watch matches to the players’ tunnel where pre-match nerves reach fever pitch.
The experience includes access to the club museum, where trophies and memorabilia tell the story of this proud Andalusian club’s journey through Spanish football’s divisions.
What to expect at La Rosaleda
Your 45- to 60-minute guided tour begins at Gate 0, named after club legend Antonio Benítez, conveniently located next to the official club shop, where you can pick up a souvenir of your visit.
The museum section showcases the club’s most treasured documents, trophies won by various Malaga teams over the decades and a fascinating exhibition of captain’s armbands worn by players, each representing a different town in Malaga province and created by local artist José Luis Puche.
You’ll walk through the historical corridor, which chronicles the club’s evolution through various names and eras before it became the modern Malaga CF.
The players’ tunnel offers a thrilling experience that transports you to the heart of matchday atmosphere – it’s as close as most of us will get to feeling like a professional footballer.
From the VIP area, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the entire stadium, with the pitch spread out below like a perfectly manicured green carpet.
Behind-the-scenes access
The tour also includes exclusive access to the presidential box, where club dignitaries and special guests watch matches in comfort.
You’ll visit the press room where new signings are presented to the media and where managers face the music after matches, whether celebrating victories or explaining defeats.
The changing room visit is perhaps the tour’s highlight, offering a glimpse into where tactical discussions happen and post-match celebrations begin.
Finally, you’ll experience those last few metres before stepping onto the pitch itself – the moment when nerves transform into adrenaline.
Tours are conducted in Spanish or English, with the route adapted for visitors with disabilities, making this a truly accessible Malaga attraction for all football enthusiasts.
