Kinoa

Located away from Malaga’s historic centre, in the modern Teatinos neighbourhood, Kinoa has quietly revolutionised the city’s plant-based dining scene since opening in 2020.

This isn’t your typical rabbit-food affair – founders Flor and Nico have crafted a menu that’ll convert even the most committed carnivores.

The restaurant champions comida de verdad (real food), serving everything from crispy Argentine empanadas to hearty vegan burgers made from textured soy, chickpeas and lentils.

Kinoa’s signature dishes

Their handmade empanadas are proper showstoppers – baked golden parcels stuffed with everything from traditional criolla (onion and pepper) to innovative spinach with vegan béchamel.

The pizza selection spans from classic Margherita on buckwheat bases to their signature Tofulandia carbonara-style creation.

Customisable poke bowls let you build your perfect meal, while sharing plates include traditional Spanish-style tapas, such as spiced sweet potato and cashew-based vegan cheddar nachos.

Versatile, healthy food in Teatinos

The welcoming Teatinos location features a lovely terrace, perfect for Malaga’s endless sunny days and balmy Andalusian evenings.

Whether you fancy dining in, grabbing takeaway or having your meal delivered across the city, Kinoa accommodates all appetites.

Gluten-free diners are well catered for, though the kitchen does handle wheat products.

It’s the sort of place that proves plant-based eating needn’t be boring – just brilliant.
