They describe themselves as ‘101% Napolitan’ so for that reason alone, you know that the food at Terra Mía is going to be great!
Proof of this is that Terra Mia was the winner of the 1st Tutti Pizza Competition organised by local newspaper SUR’s gastronomy supplement, Málaga en la Mesa.
According to their own website: “To visit Terra Mia is to travel for a few hours to the foot of Vesuvius while tasting an authentic mozzarella di bufala, a plate of fresh pasta or spectacular pizzas created by hand by real Napolitan pizza makers.” We couldn’t agree more.
This restaurant, decorated with football memorabilia in homage to Diego Maradona, has a cosy atmosphere indoors and a lovely outdoor terrace with views of the cathedral tower.
If you like burgers and you like them big, Terra Mía 2.0 has to be your default option.
Formerly known as Napolitan BBQ, this offshoot of the original Terra Mía just around the corner (Calle Granada, 26) has a somewhat different menu, focusing on burgers and more meaty Italian dishes.
The vast menu incorporates numerous gourmet options (serrano ham, fried mozzarella, fried aubergines…) as well as your standard cheese or chicken burgers.
Piles of meat stacked metres high (maybe a slight exaggeration, but not far off!) certainly won’t leave space for dessert, so if you fancy a bit of Italian sweet, ask for one of their doggie bags.
Non-meat options include a selection of salads, potato croquettes and veggie burgers.
